Jews and christians

Two people divided by a common scripture?

An introduction to Judaism as living faith, setting out the origins of the rabbinic approach in changes made after the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple, and through the following centuries. In this way, we will be invited to see Judaism as not so much the parent of Christianity, as our sibling. We will examine the Jewish approach to the Hebrew Scriptures (should we call them the “Old Testament”?). We will consider how Christians might better appreciate the living Jewish faith, in all of its breadth, and ask what place if any mission has in this.
